Excessive Makeup / Skin Tight Clothing / Mini Skirts / Over Exposed

Advertising stops for nothing.
So is true, at my local McDonald's. I'm going to McDonald's. Humm, let's now ask ourselves, why? Is it the fast service, the smiling face of the employee? Maybe it's the world famous French fries? No, I enjoy a quick Happy Meal on a fast paced day. The Happy Meal, aka Business Bite (now that I've said it, keep your eye out for it). Small burger, small fries, small drink, the toy, napkin if your lucky, and a nice little box or bag to keep everthing tidy before my next client meetings at Starbucks (that's another episode). Now; That hit the spot!

What in the world (#%$) is this? I always say "Girl" when asked by the McDonald's employee "for a boy or girl?" But, I don't remember saying anything about a "call girl!"

McDonald's grip on our youngest generation is a bit curt in tact if you ask me (Americas Marketing Critic). And it's even more important that we recognize how today's dominant advertisers do real damage to the target market; next generation; children 3 and over. If fact, one doesn't have to be a Rocket Scientist or Nobel Peace Prize recipient to see what's going on here. That is unless you simply shove the Happy Meal in your screaming kids face, so she or he will sit down, shut-up; so you can drive, figure out how you'll be paying the next mortgage payment before foreclosure or maybe pay your rent before the 3rd of the month this time. And, make sure the check doesn't bounce!

What? It's like this... when you display bright colored objects with moving parts to children, they begin to enjoy them. The right brain of creativity, kicks into high-gear like a dry sponge does to water (sucks it right in). Add sound and it's over-with. But please, McDonald's, don't add sound to the call girls!

You decide. Here's ITV's "The Secret Diary of a Call Girl"; sex dished to adults consumers.

Perhaps McDonald's knows that there are currently 17,700,000 results for "call girl" at Google? I'm betting against that. However, it is my opinion that McDonald's should consider adding some dignity (clothing) to toys they put in Happy Meals, and parents should keep a close eye on the toys/characters children admire.

Answering this question is by far the single most important issue your website will faces.

What in the Internet world, is the point of getting 16 million people to your website anyway? Some say they want 16 million people to buy stuff. Others may settle for 10 million people to download their widgets at $1 each. It's really up to you. I can tell you that today, the average amount of time a visitor stays on a website is less the 60 seconds, in fact according to Nielsen/Net Ratings it's just 0:00:48, and the average amount of time a visitors spends in a surfing session is less than 1 hour or to be exact; 0:58:16 according to Nielsen/Net Ratings - A global leader in Internet media and market research.

What does this have to do with your website?

It means, to have a website that takes the visitor by the hand for a journey to your shopping cart "yes" button, your website must communicate quickly and have a scrumdidlyumptious scoop of marketing tact that feels good to the visitors subconscious mind. We're not talking about brain washing or deceptive information. But more at, the first impression your website has on your visitor. Remember, your visitor will be gone in less than 60 seconds.

What can your website do in less than 60 seconds?

Tell visitors that they have come to the right place, at the right time, and it won't take long! Think back to 1971 and you may remember Mike Teavee who asked Willy Wonka while walking up to the Chocolate Factory, "Then, why's the door so small? "Willy Wonka answered: "That's to keep all the great big chocholatey flavor inside." (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, one of the highest grossing films in the U.S. in 1971, earning approximately $4 million.)

Getting visitors attention or interested in your website starts with imagination, and having the write people behind your web design. There are what seems like trillions of website factories online, that crank out websites faster than Willy Wonka pumped out candy. Remember however, that was in 1971, and times have changed a bit. In fact, "America has never been the same since the introduction of Minute Rice.

These days your website must have strong adaptive qualities (parts that make it more fit for existence under the conditions of its environment), stay within your branding guidelines, and include scrumdidlyumptious marketing messages that quickly take visitors by the hand. This will give you a chance at surviving and reaching your goal(s) in an Internet environment smeared by the abundance of digitally manufactured website templates or Internet "clutter" aka "SPAM".

We start with an organization known for having good results and using its resources with tact; MPFO gives young women in Plano and Frisco a doorway to their educational dreams. You may remember Shilah Philips, Miss Frisco 2006 who also represented the Miss Plano Frisco Organization. It was through the financial support of others that Shilah was able to not only compete at Miss Texas, but ultimately win the title of Miss Texas and go on to compete at Miss America 2007. She won the 1st Runner Up at Mis America 2007 and was awarded over $40,000 in scholarships.

Now that we know the MPFO background or the organizations bright history, it's a must that we continue this message in our new trek for money without damaging the current reputation.

There's a hurdle, like all marketing objectives...

Pretty people are associated with success; success is associated with power; power is associated with money. So how do we get visitors to give money to people, who seem to be doing just fine? You give them comfort, you don't waste a bunch of time, and you have a darn good reason.

This is where this case study takes flight; MPFO asked Oevae Marketing Consultants for help in putting together a set of donation pages (marketing champaign) for some young women whom we determined, fit the above hurdle (pretty, and seem to be doing just fine) like a latex glove.

The plot...

We started by translating our problem into an illustrations (pencil drawings and sketches fig. 1 and fig. 2). Taking into consideration our typography, brand colors, graphic design, words, and art (photography) used to create content that would act as eye candy and be easy on the eyes.

Miss Plano Frisco Scholarship Organization Donations

We knew we needed to keep current the MPFO brand identity and overall theme, so when people visited the donation pages, they felt at home, and safe (Paypal - The safer, easier way to get paid by customers around the world). Next, it was making sure that what visitors were looking at was interesting enough to touch (click). And, make our point in less than 60 seconds. For this we used a big head shot photograph of each young woman. This instantly gives the visitor an scrumptious scoop personal connection. Then, we added real time donation results by adding a thermometer on each page. This would show the visitor where their money was going, reinforces positive results, and individual proof of doing something good like giving money to provide education to those who are pretty, but need help.

E-mail Champaign / Polaroid and Paypal Button.

In addition to the donation pages, we used the reputable electronic resources of Constant Contact to provided each young woman with her very own email letter (Golden Ticket) that included a Paypal donation button, photograph (Polaroid with hand written name), a true short story, and a link to her MPFO myDonation page. This email would serve to educate friends and family, telling them how excited and serious the young woman was about their dreams of higher education. People love to listen to dreams, especially when they are easy to follow and somehow make a bunch of since or in our case cents.

Finally, we tested the champaign for integrity. We received some worthy feedback that would prove to help us sharpen the way we asked for money. Aka, lead visitors through our offer to the "donation" button. Yes, I did say "our offer." Our plot involved offering visitors a chance to be part of a reputable organization, by giving money, and helping a young womans educational dream come true.

In The End...

Like Willy Wonka, we kept it small to keep all the pretty girls money safe inside, as did the Wonkavator when it sailed off into the sky, Wonka tells Charlie to "never forget the story of the man who got everything he ever wanted…he lived happily ever after." And so our MPFO case is now closed, and another satisfied client, and people giving money to the Miss Plano Frisco Scholarship Organization, a preliminary to Miss America.

The answer... Your first impression is paramount.

If you've reached this point and have understanding, then you must take your image seriously and you are not in business to throw your money (Golden Ticket) away; you want to make sure your website makes a poignant first impression in the least amount of time imaginable.

Is foreclosure heavy on greed and marketing, or that of the consumer, butcher, banker, and the candle stick maker?

Or, Is it how well the homes were marketed before this landslide/busted bubble of emotions over foreclosure? There weren't too many people living in America who didn't watch TV, listen to the radio, or open either mailbox without some Realtor, mortgage company, builder, Home Improvement, Flip This House - marketing - face up!

Let's call A Spade a Spade; without supply and demand , you don't need workers because you won't have a country, TV, radio, email, blog or game room card table.

Foreclosure is the New Black for Realtors. (Is that Politically correct?) No pun intended Obama! And, with all things, we must adapt to new horizons. It's great to have individuals dedicated to the true meaning of love. It's when we have the wrong definition of love is where we find the seed of foreclosure in America.

There are Americans on every block panting to have what the most powerful people in America have or can get at the stroke of a Mont Blanc, or sending of an gmail. If you love a country, you will work yourself to death to do what it takes to help America survive and even thrive. But, when your meaning of love is skewed, you will do everything, and kill to have what you want, get what you need. Who are the strongest people in America? This is where we should begin rebuilding our country. By coming together as 1 body, not 1 dollar.

Hey you over there, yeah you who works hard everyday and spends $190 on steaks because you don't have to count pennies for gas anymore or wait with that chic that smells bad every morning at the bus stop, do you! No, you can sit in your office and spend millions on golf trips (wink-wink) and million dollar sports cars. You've got it made. Your life is nsync. More like inxs buddy.

Why not start using that doe for building educated communities, with schools where every student gets a book. After school care, and maybe shoot a few bucks over to the battered wives association of America. Lets spend some dollars on how to produce high quality families/communities inside and outside the church, but not without the principles found in Bible.

As Americas Marketing Critic, I believe that advertising for the housing market trumped expectations, and made millionaires , and thousand'aires in America. People would chant, "I want to be like Donald Trump, he came back for foreclosure, right?" Each man wanting to be the king of his domain, or at least look like the Jones'.

So there we have it; marketing forces action, action causes results, and results, this time it came down on our own heads. That's plain foolish. That is unless, you have a big supply with no demand. You need some good marketing to sell your stuff, so you can continue to charge your credit card for those $190 steaks. Your marketing should accomplish your goal, at least get close, and measure the value of your product, service, or offer. When your marketing is properly managed, you will know in advance (forecast) the outcome. This didn't happen with the housing advertising. No, it was "Why, rent when you can own?" and "If you're renting, you're wasting your money." What advertisers didn't say was, "If you don't make the payments, the bubble which we live will burst." No advertising told Americans; "Support our American, dream, pay you Lien."

Anybody got any money? Don't ask an American, get your own. We don't pull together. Who wants too. That means getting out of our comfort zone, park the SUV, put down the cell phone, meet some new people other than our own race, then doing what we don't want to do. It's far too easy to complain and think of ways to boost cable or escape reality with a Coke and a smile.

We couldn't afford the house in the first place. Just like we didn't think a burger had a King. Wake up America, you're on your own.

Hillary, change you're brand name.

Is Hillary branding herself by her first name because she is finding it hard to swallow (no pun intended) the statement "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Bill made back on January 26, 1998? Perhaps this is part of the "change" the candidates have been muttering or maybe it is a new slant on the political branding process in America? Is there a law, or have some of the qualifications, disqualifications and common practices to become the President of the United States of America, changed?

Hillary, like foreign brands trying to compete with local brands; Hillary is the new candidate on the hill. But is there an American that doesn't already notice Hillary is a woman? What else is there to gather from the name "Hillary" other than knowing she ain't no boy. That is a change, from the "norm" in American politics.

Now try to apply this unfounded branding logic to someone going to the market for oranges; does anyone go to the market and ask the produce clerk for navels? However close, the response will be somewhat of a snarled face or a polite "excuse me" and utter confusion (What you talking about Willis?). Remember, when you're in the process of selecting a brand name, make sure the name you select is filled with:

substance
logic
respect*
vigor

Now please don't take this example as an attack on presidential candidate, Hillary or her campaign. It is however branding at its most elementary root. In 19th century America, packaged goods manufactures needed a way to convince consumers that they could trust in non-local brands. Hillary is a local product, however her gender is foreign when it comes to the President of the United States of America.

We're on a first name basis with "Hillary" and this could be the most damaging to her campaign. This is especially true when it comes to respect*. In America we show respect by calling ones last name, as did two orphaned children "Buffy and Jody" summons Mr. French in the 1967, CBS situation comedy television series Family Affair.
